Last year, WINGS celebrated its 10th year of empowering women to age successfully.

Over the last 10 years, WINGS has touched the lives of more than 20,000 women at our centre and through our outreach to embrace ageing with confidence.

In the financial year ended on 31 March 2016, WINGS served more than 6,000 participants who attended our programmes and classes and through our outreach.

For our 10th anniversary, WINGS organized two key events, including the WINGS-UniSIM HDSS Joint Symposium on “The Grand Generation: Intergenerational Ties & Active Ageing” on 3 June 2017.

The symposium, targeted at 350 key decision makers and professionals working with and for the elderly, examined the social roles of grandparents as well as the opportunities and challenges of active ageing.

Please check out Symposium 2017 for more details.

We also organized a stage production on October 14, 2017 at the Resort World Theatre, Sentosa. This production showcased the values of WINGS women and highlight the plight of many older emotionally-wounded and neglected women. An estimated 500 lower-income women from grassroots organisations were invited to attend the event and bond with each other.
